Willow, Star of the Wedding!

Willow, Star of the Wedding

Maybe the day wasn't all about her and maybe she wasn't really the star, but she was a close second after the bride and groom!

Meghan and Dominic decided to seal their love and relationship through their marriage on May 11th, 2024. Of course they would want Willow to be a big part of their day. Willow was a puppy from our very first litter at Kindred Spirits, the A litter. Her AKC registered name is Kindred Spirits Aspen Willow. Willow lives a very active life and goes everywhere with her owners, Meghan and Dom, including their wedding! Willow walked down the isle with Dom's parents as the outdoor ceremony began and walked back down the isle with the new Mr. and Mrs.!!! Willow stayed the whole night, enjoying the celebration as well as the attention from all of the guests.

Pupdate

I am sorry to take so long to update my readers on things going on at Kindred Spirits, especially news concerning our puppies. Along with being super busy taking care of the remaining puppies, I became ill and am struggling with extreme fatigue, body pains, swelling of my legs and feet, a rash on my legs, and constant pain in my feet. I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease! I was treated with antibiotics but still feel the same. Some of you know that my husband, Aaron, has struggled with Lyme Disease since 2012, never healing from it despite months of IV antibiotic and many other treatments. So for me to get this diagnosis is pretty scary. I want to focus on healthy foods and habits to get as healthy as I can as well as helping Aaron to feel even a little better. We will likely not have any more puppies until next summer, to allow me time to heal and get healthier.

Enough about me!

The last newsletter was sent when we still had 4 puppies needing homes. As of this past weekend all of the puppies are with their forever families! YAY! George Glass was the first of 11 to be born and the last to find his forever family. It was worth the wait, because he is now baby brother to Willow!!!

"So the last will be first, and the first last"

Matthew 20:16

Although Meghan and I keep in touch through texting, it was really awesome to see her, Dominic and Willow again after 3 1/2 years. We spent a couple of hours at a park allowing Willow and George to become aquatinted before the long drive home together. It didn't take too long before they were chasing each other around the park, enjoying the lovely day.

Mica (Gracie) stayed with me for a little while and completed 3 weeks of basic obedience training. She did great and I am so proud of her! Here are a few videos of me working with Mica:

Who wants a Kindred Spirits MAS puppy? We only have about one litter a year, sometimes two, but we do not like to plan a litter unless we have already secured great homes for about half of the puppies first. If you have been reading our newsletter and/or watching our videos and are thinking it is time to add a Kindred Spirits puppy to your family, please contact me as soon as possible. So far we have two, but need four families ready to make a deposit to hold their pick place with a new...

Merry Christmas!! We celebrate Christmas with our family on Christmas Eve, so today is a quiet day here, just us and the dogs. Okay, maybe it's not so quiet, lol. Today I can take the time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and thank God for the gift of Jesus, my Savior! I also want to wish a Merry Christmas to all Kindred Spirits puppies/dogs, their families and all of the readers of this newsletter. I truly hope everyone enjoys family and friends, including their fur babies today....

Gibson and Gabbi as PeeWee Herman and Miss Yvonne

Happy Howl-loween Halloween is not a holiday that we celebrate, but I hope that anyone reading this newsletter that does had a safe and fun Halloween! I know that at least some Kindred Spirits pups got to celebrate the day! Willow and Graham Graham in his costume! Ready to go! Watching the trick or treat preparations.
